“Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions.” ~ Gerald Jampolsky quotes
“To attain inner peace you must actually give your life, not just your possessions. When you at last give your life - bringing into alignment your beliefs and the way you live then, and only then, can you begin to find inner peace.” ~Peace Pilgrim quotes
“As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.”
~ Dalai Lama quotes
“People are born for different tasks, but in order to survive every one requires the same nourishment; inner peace.”
~ Sri Sathya Sai Baba quotes
“The wretched fools do not know the Lord's Will; they wander around making mistakes. They go about their business stubborn-mindedly; they are disgraced forever and ever. Inner peace does not come to them; they do not embrace love for the True Lord.”

Inner Beauty Spiritual Sayings !
Can I detach from the various personalities I play during the day (daughter, parent, boss, employee, student) and talk to myself one-on-one? Is it good enough to fulfill my daily responsibilities or do I value my spiritual self too? Sometimes I may avoid thinking about the inner self because it's a little scary to face my weaknesses and come to terms with not-so-good past actions. However, it's a fact that whatever is real and true lives on despite the amount of alloy mixed in or accumulated layers of dust. Would the world be just as beautiful if we had left all the impure gold or raw diamonds buried away? I must learn to value myself, an eternal spirit of divinity, and do all I can to make it glow...

2008 Happy Pongal Wishes Spiritual Quotes !
Pongal is a harvest festival equivalent to a thanksgiving event celebrated by Tamils across the world. Pongal in Tamil means "boiling over or spill over." The act of boiling over of milk in the clay pot is considered to denote future prosperity for the family. Traditionally celebrated at harvest time, it is a celebration of the prosperity associated with the harvest by thanking the rain, sun and the farm animals that have helped in the harvest
Most of the times we are slaves of the past. Although the situation has become past, we tend to think of it again and again. We are neither able to forget the past nor are we able to forgive. We continue to create the same thoughts and the same feelings again and again. Thus we find that we are just caught up in the past, and we are not able to learn from it. In order to move forward to the future, we need to free our mind of the past. If we learn from the past, with this learning we can move forward. We need to forgive and forget. We can forget only when we forgive and we can forgive only when we learn. When we take the learning from every situation, we are able to be free from being a slave of the past.

Happy Makara Sankranti 2008 Spiritual Quotes !
Sankranti means to move from one place to another. The Lord Sun makes 12 movements during the year, but this is one of the most important transitions.
Makar Sankranti is the day when the sun moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn during the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere (Uttarayana).
This is one of the most auspicious feast days in the Hindu culture, and is celebrated in almost all parts of the country, but the celebrations often have different names and traditions.
This is not a moveable feast determined by the lunar calendar. Makar Sankranti is always celebrated on January 14 on the solar calendar since it is a celebration of the Sun.
During the festival, many people ceremonially bathe in rivers and pray to the Lord Sun. The day is celebrated as Lohri or Maghi in Punjab. In Gujarati, celebrations feature thousands of colorful prayers offered to the Sun in the form of beautiful kites.
Makar Sankranti 2008 Spiritual Message
The past is history, so let it go. The future is a mystery, so let it come. The present is a gift - be truly in the present today and release all your fears (based on the past) and your worries (imagined futures) - this is the work of someone who truly wants to awaken, and break free from the anchors and burdens of dead yesterdays and speculative tomorrows. Be here now they say, easier said than done, I hear you say. But no one can stop us, except for ourselves. There is only now - everything else is avoidance.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.
