Most Happiest Thing In The Universe Is Self Realization !

...the so called many Atmans(souls) or many spirits are but the partial manifestations of one universal Atman, or a universal Spirit, whom we call God, and who is worshipped by different names in different countries – by some as our Father in heaven, by others as Brahman, Allah, Christ, Buddha, and so forth. We are by our birthright, as it were, immortal and divine. Our true nature is changeless… Birth, growth, decay and death can affect only the gross form. But that which is beyond the physical body, that which is the illuminator of the subtle body, is free from all change; as such It is immortal and eternal. That Atman(soul) is the real individual in us.

Within You Lies Indomitable Power Says Swami Vivekananda

If it is a fact that you do not want to lose anything, physically, mentally morally or spiritually, then do not play the losing game. Never think anything too small to do. The truly great do not differentiate between big tasks and little. Their keenness, their power of appreciation, their desire to do well what they do, makes them forget that a task is little. This is the true sign of greatness. Men of vision, men of genius, never feel that any work is beneath them. There is nothing beneath us and nothing beyond us. That should be our attitude.

Soul Is Our Real Nature And Awaken By Spirituality !

Atman(soul) or Spirit is not mind. It is beyond mind. It is not matter or force, but It is the illuminator of matter and force. It is the cause of our conscious existence or individuality. It is the cause of our intelligence. It is described… as a circle whose circumference is nowhere [and] whose centre is everywhere. It is omnipotent, omnipresent and possesses infinite powers, infinite wisdom and infinite possibilities. This Atman(soul) is our real Self, our divine nature

Don't Fight For Religion !

We shall have to learn the great fact that if one religion is false, the others are false also and if one is true, the others are true too. For if religion and revelation come through the process of evolution, they cannot be the exclusive property of any one sect or any one individual. They are common as God’s wind and rain, which come both to the just and unjust; they are like the universal space embracing everything that is sentient and insentient

Understand Of The Spiritual Power Of Each Individual !

Success in any matter is achieved by diligence and effort. Try again and again if you fail. If you do not succeed even after diligent effort, know that you have not put forth the requisite amount of effort. Everything will be pliant and easy of attainment if you only really try more and more and never give up in spiritual . Gradually the habit will be formed and will become part of your own nature.

Dont Worry About Misery !

God has not really left us in want of anything; the want is in the mind only. Happiness and misery are in the mind, and not outside."As is the mental conception so is the attainment." We get what we seek.

Man As Infinite Spirit !

Each one of us is apart of the infinite spirit. As our mind and heart become pure, whether in the initial stage we believe in a cosmic spirit or not, we come to get hold of our individual inner self. As we move further and further, we find that we are all really parts of a greater whole and this is the greatest truth we need. We, as souls, we inseparable parts of the supreme spirit.

To Stop Negative Attitude To Have Positive Attitude

Learn to become fully conscious under all circumstances and in all situations of life, and learn to recognize your own true motives in every understanding. Criticize yourself severely, but this criticism must always be constructive, and never merely destructive, if it is to help you in your spiritual striving and evolution. The negative attitude “I am a sinner” only makes you a sinner all the more, and takes away from all spiritual initiative.

Bible Verse about God Grace !

Romans 5:1-2 Grace is far more than a mealtime prayer or a popular name for girls. The word communicates the idea of blessing. As children of God, we're the recipients of His abundant grace. Let's examine how we experience this amazing benefit of His love.

We see God's favor in our salvation. Ephesians 2:8 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved." The blessing is undeserved and unearned. Nothing about your or me prompts God to save us. He acts purely out of His goodness. He sacrificed Jesus so we could be reconciled to Him and adopted into His family.

Grace is also the sphere in which we live the Christian life. Colossians 1:12-13 points out that salvation transferred us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. Here, we live out our new identity as God's child and glorify Him.

The beauty of grace becomes clear when we consider our former condition, hostile to the Lord and alienated from Him. Ephesians 2:1 says we were spiritually dead and lived according to our selfish interests. Now, through faith in Jesus, God has justified us and given us new life. According to Romans 8:1, He's declared we have right standing before Him. All of our sins were placed upon Jesus, and His righteousness has been credited to our account permanently.

Picture yourself living in the favor of God. Accept this truth, and then give the Lord thanks.

Inspiration To Young Monks !

My boy, Give your body and mind to worldly enjoyments, and the world will destroy them both. Devote them to God and his service, and you will enjoy bodily health, peace of mind and spiritual joy. Give all that you have –your health, wealth, youth, talents, everything to divine. If you give it to worldly life, the world will spoil it and leave you empty in the end.

Enjoying Everyday Life !

As long as the soul of man is restrained, he can't attain true happiness. Happiness doesn’t lie in external objects. It is the inherent nature of the self. Thus ignorance itself is the greatest bondage. Ignorance gives rise to egotism. Egotism gives rise to attachment, aversion and fear. All these bind the soul and prevent it from experiencing boundless happiness which is its own intrinsic nature. However, there comes a stage in man’s evolution when his soul awakes from its age-long slumber and becomes conscious of this bondage. When this happened he wants to attain absolute freedom by realizing his true self

Be True To Yourself !

It is difficult to find the necessary sense of proportion in dealing with others. Be strong so that others cannot advantage of you. Don’t be touchy, sensitive, and nervous. The right perspective must be developed in every spiritual aspirant. Take things as calmly as possible. Try to see things they are. Have adjustment for the sake of peace, and think that we have to deal with human personalities. We often prick others. Some emanate good, clam, peaceful vibrations; others, bad vibrations and thoughts.

Try to be true to yourself and true to God, then it becomes easier to be true to others.

Spiritual But Not Religious !

God Is Love
Sri Ramakrishna says:" Know yourself and you come to know god." Everybody is drawing the same water, the waters of life. God is everywhere. Seek God everywhere! God is seen as different Forms. He is all this and more. In the end He reveals Himself as He is. Take up any aspect of God. Follow an aspect. But remember that each divine Form is an uncommon point. We have to outgrow the uncommon points, and discover the circle, the all-pervading infinite spirit. There is a law of growth. Follow it.

Spiritual Attitude In Life !

There is a good and bad, and sometimes we catch a glimpse of the true Reality that is neither good nor bad. Good is what is helpful to spiritual life, bad is what is harmful to it. In us there are good elements and bad onces, Elimate the bad ones and take the good ones, and then go beyond both good and bad, We can least approach this ideal, and work our way towards perfection.

Do not get attached. Do not get upset. Try to see the reality behind the phenomenon. We should be kind but not blind. Have infinite sympathy. Pain and sorrow are a kind of education; bear them. Turn to God even through suffering. Also hunger for truth makes us turn to God.

We must be in tune with ourselves. if we are not in harmony, we prick others. Have harmony in mind and body. It is necessary to sublimate our feelings. If they are suppressed, they leak out again and again. Suppression or repression is not enough.
Dont be angery
Friends have to some extent similar vibrations. Sympathize with angry people. Have sympathy from higher plane. There are times when you are allowed to disagree with or scold others maintaining an amount of self-control. Then it won’t lead to quarrels or misunderstandings .if we have inner harmony we induce harmony in others. If we are restless, we have both inner and outer troubles.

We must first of all come to have a spiritual attitude towards ourselves, and only then can we establish a proper relationship between us and the Divine also with other people.

Short Message About Sacrifice !

The trouble is that our mind is too outgoing, we are too selfish, too self- centred. So we should try to do some service to others, physical and mental. We should sacrifice something for others, in some form or other. Look at a mother’s sacrifice! No one should be allowed to lead a self-centred life without making any sacrifices for others whatever form they may take. Life is a sacrifice, and can only find its fulfillment in sacrifice. Out-and-out self-centred people have no place in spiritual life.

How To Purify Our Mind

When we started to help others we can find the peace of mind. This is one of the way to share other pains and trying to resolve it as much as possible.

Every day lot of people losing their life because of famine and starvation. Just try to help them by means of providing food .you may have money to lead luxury life but those people not at all have single day food. Think of them and donate the money to Red Cross or social work clubs.

Some people are suffering by diseases; they may be counting their days. We don’t have power to save their life .If not possible to help others due to some reason, at latest we could pray for them to GOD.

Control The Desire For Higher Life

Desires do not have leave of sudden. We may practice great control. We may cut ourselves off from the objects of desire, but the desire remains in the subtle form, this desire will disappear only with the dawn of spiritual consciousness, and so we should try out best to awaken in us something of this spiritual consciousness

Need For Simplicity

Be straightforward in all your dealings. Give up hypocrisy and conceit. Be child like, not childish. But be reserved and aloof in the company of worldly people, in a dignified way without being haughty. You can be full of sympathy for others in an impersonal way and yet be aloof and reserved, and not allow them to come near you in a personal way.

Everything becomes simple the moment we become simple. We should live like angels, like true children of god. We should learn to combine the simplicity and purity of a child with maturity and wisdom of a grown-up man.

Practical Hints for Spiritual Aspirant's !

A spiritual aspirant should depend on god alone all circumstances. In the beginning he may take the help of men and institutions, but he should in due course learn to draw his inspiration more and more from divine.

When we feel miserable, the whole mind is upset. But even when we feel great pain, we should say,"yes, my mind and body are feeling these, but my self cannot be touched by them, my self cannot be imprisoned by them." Always, at all times, assert the glory, the freedom of the soul. When men of realization feel miserable, they just stand as the witness. They can at once give a higher turn to their mind and remain unaffected under all circumstances

Keep The Mind On A Higher Plane !

In spiritual life it is not enough if we spend one or two hours in the morning and evening meditation.Somthing of the meditative mood must be maintained the throughout the day. There must be an undercurrent of thought about the divine even when we are engaged in our daily duties of life. This prevents the rising of impure thoughts and greatly helps in concentration when we sit down for mediation.
~swami Yatiswarananda (senior monk of Ramakrishna order)

Hopes For The Divine !

Do not have any hopes for anything wordly, have only hopes for the divine. it is the Divine alone that brings happiness to the soul. We should feel a sort disgust at everything sensual. That is the first sign of our real dispassion for the things of the world. And without this dispassion for sense objects and their enjoyment, gross and subtle, no spiritual life, no higher endeavor, becomes possible. Dispassion should become our dominant trait if we want to achieve success in spiritual life.

We Should Pray For Others !

Every day we should make it a point to pray for the good of others. This sort of prayer ,if done with a certain amount of concentration , will bring good to others .Not only that, it cultivate in us a feeling of love for our fellow brings who are struggling for the height life and passing trough great anguish and difficulties.

Expansion of the soul is very essential for true purity and calmness of mind for concentrating it in on divine .So when we pray for others we ourselves get nearer and nearer to God.

Mothers Forever -Remainder of God's Creation !

Mothers Forever" is a not just a thought...its a consuming feeling. Its a sensation of the soul. It’s a parable. a heart felt dream...a hope...a small attempt to make the world a better place through love, affection and the compassion of the blessing of a mother..

May God give us the strength, ability and honour..of repaying our mothers every single day with every step we take through life. for there is no thing..no word..no tear and no blessing. That can compare to that of the warmth of a mother's arms and the compassion of her care...

"Mother's Forever" is an extension of your heart..its an extension of a heart that can never be thankful enough to God for the gift of a mother..."Mothers Forever" and its true meaning always has, always does and always will live on deep down the core of our hearts for as long as we live and for as long as the world is a heaven on earth with the gift of a "Mother"!

We must thank to god ,given the mother to live in this world.we cant see the god by our own eyes but we can feel the god by mother…

Can Spiritualism And Materialism Be Synergized !

We live concurrently in two non-coinciding worlds. The spiritual & materialistic. Spiritualism is the kaleidoscope of ones inner world, while materialism is the world that keeps one bodily alive. Both worlds have to be balanced for the human life to reach its full potential.

If one neglect the spiritual world and base ones being only to the materialist, one would be missing the comfort the spiritual world has to offer for ones mental peace and keeping ones sanity. If a person neglects the materistic world and concentrates only on the spiritual world, one can become a social outcast and would defeat the very existence of humans as social being.

I feel spiritualism should be practiced in the inner privacy of ones mind. While materialism which is very synonymous to religion is for social order and management & should be part of our public life. These worlds should never be mixed together and should be practiced independently for attaining their respective goal. Mixing of religion and spiritualism is the root cause of all confusion & strife of our times.

Spend Your Time For Spiritual Activity !

The real meaning of human life is Self realization, which can be attend in this birth or may take several births to reach the destination…

Here we have a doubt,

Why we need self realization?
What is higher life?
Why should i away from materialist world?
What is the necessity of the spirituality in my life?

All the above question cant raised in out mind until we hate the materialist things,

Still most of them are satisfied with their doings and livings.
Don’t be satisfied only with worldly things. World is an open book for everyone. Open your eyes and see the things closely love the nature which gives lot lesson about our materialist life. No one can predict our life time; also we don’t know exactly what will happen next second.

So Don’t waste your time with only watching movies ,reading novels , chatting with friends spend some time for higher life by reading spiritual books, visiting holy places and meeting spiritual aspirant

Daily spend at least 10 mins for prayer to your beloved lord

Do Your Duty Without Much Expectations !

We would do nothing ourselves and would scoff at others who try to do something —this is the bane that has brought about our downfall as a nation. Want of sympathy and lack of energy are at the root of all misery, and you must therefore give these two up. Who but the Lord knows what potentialities there are in particular individuals? Let all have opportunities, leave the rest to the Lord.

Our Desire On Worldly Things!

Can you weep for Him with intense longing of heart? Men shed a jugful of tears for the sake of their children, for their wives, or for money. But who weeps for God? So long as the child remains engrossed with its toys, the mother looks after her cooking and other household duties. But when the child no longer relishes the toys, it throws them aside and yells for its mother. Then the mother takes the rice-pot down from the hearth, runs in haste, and takes the child in her arms

Spiritual Message From Gospel !

"I have now come to a stage of realization in which I see that God is walking in every human form and manifesting Himself alike through the sage and the sinner, the virtuous and the vicious. Therefore when I meet different people I say to myself, "God in the form of the saint, God in the form of the sinner, God in the form of the righteous, God in the form of the unrighteous."

"Do you know what I see? I see Him as all. Men and other creatures appear to me only as hollow forms, moving their heads and hands and feet, but within is the Lord Himself."

Powerful Quotes For Kids !

"All power is within you. You can do anything and everything. Believe in that. Do not believe that you are weak; do not believe that you are half-crazy lunatics, as most of us do nowadays. Stand up and express the divinity within you.

"Be not afraid, for all great power throughout the history of humanity has been with the people. From out of their ranks have come all the greatest geniuses of the world, and history can only repeat itself. Be not afraid of anything. You will do marvelous work.

"Be strong! Don’t talk of ghosts and devils. We are the living devils. The sign of life is strength and growth. The sign of death is weakness. Whatever is weak, avoid! It is death. If it is strength, go down into hell and get hold of it! There is salvation only for the brave.

"Do not go for glass beads leaving the mine of diamonds. This life is a great chance. What, seekest thou the pleasures of the world? He is the fountain of all bliss. See for the highest, aim at that highest, and you shall reach the highest.

"Fear is death, fear is sin, fear is hell, fear is unrighteousness, fear is wrong life. All the negative thoughts and ideas that are in the world have proceeded from this evil spirit of fear.

"God is not to be reached by the weak. Never be weak. You have infinite strength within you. How else will you conquer anything? How else will you come to God?

Yoga For Spiritual Life !

Purification (shaucha) is a central aim of all the yogic practices, and is the first principle of self-discipline (niyama) in Patanjali’s eight-limbed approach. The yogis have discovered that impurities in our internal body adversely affect our state of mind, and prevent the attainment of real wisdom and spiritual liberation. Through the yogic practices of asana, pranayama, tapas and shatkarma, the body and the mind become cleansed and our spiritual development is accelerated. The physical postures of yoga purify the body through movements that increase and improve the flow of blood, oxygen and prana (life force energy) in the tissues, muscles and organs. The yoga poses squeeze and massage the muscles and organs to move out old stagnant blood and bring in fresh blood full of nutrients and oxygen. In the more dynamic postures, heat is created and sweat is produced to facilitate the release toxins through the pores of the skin.

The breathing techniques of pranayama purify the mind and body through the balance and cultivation of energy throughout the whole body. Different pranayamas have different actions on the body and thus different purifying effects. Kapalabhati (breath of fire) is warming and energizing, purifying the body through the creation of heat and the movement of energy. Nadi Sodhana (alternate nostril breath) is calming and cleansing, purifying the body through reducing stress and removing blockages in the nadis (energy channels).

The intensive self-discipline of Tapas purifies the mind and spirit through the “burning up” of the desires in our mind. Basically, Tapas is engaging the will to do some action you do not want to do or not doing some action you want to do. This creates a conflict between our will and the desire of our mind producing an internal “fire” which illuminates and burns up our mental and physical impurities.

The six cleansing practices of shatkarma purify the body by physically removing excesses of mucus or phlegm. These are primarily esoteric practices that must be learned and performed with the supervision of a qualified teacher. The shatkarmas are described as six groups of yogic cleansing techniques: Neti: nasal cleaning and irrigation, Dhauti: cleansing of the digestive tract, Nauli: abdominal massage, Basti: colon cleaning, Kapalbhati: purification and vitalization of the brain, and Trataka: blinkless gazing. The goal of these practices is to purge out excesses in order to bring the three doshas (physical constitutions) into balance. If the doshas are already in balance, then it is recommended to not practice these intense cleansing practices. There are easier, gentler and more accessible ways of balancing the doshas through the healing techniques of Ayurveda that can be utilized as an alternative of the shatkarmas.

When the mind, body and spirit have been purified through the various practices of yoga, the overall result is an increase in the flow of prana through the whole body, improving our capacity to work, think, digest, taste, feel, and experience life. And not only do these practices make us feel more alive, they also foster our spiritual development, inner awareness and equanimity.

Yoga for Inner Peace !

To go deeper into your practice of yoga, it is necessary to challenge your body-mind-spirit on occasion. Use these four powerful techniques in combination or by themselves to challenge yourself further.

Go to the Edge
When holding a yoga posture you want to go to your edge. The edge is the place where you feel a deep stretch in your body or you feel the body working hard, but not going past that to where you hurt yourself or over work the body.

The edge is a magical place, but a scary place too. Getting to know your edges is getting to know your body. Its a body thing, not a mind thing, so let go of any thoughts or distractions. Slow down and listen to the body, easing your way closer and closer. Find the place between pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, creation and destruction, openness and protection. Balance there, feeling both worlds, feeling everything, and breathe.

Incorporate Challenge Postures
Start off your practice with postures that make you feel strong and confident in your self, getting your whole body warmed and energized. Then add one or two postures to your flow that bring you to your edge, postures you feel you “can’t” do, postures you normally avoid. Move slowly into these challenge postures, focusing the mind on the breath and the body. Feel what is happening in the body without the temptation to react, judge, or criticize. Breathe, breathe, breathe, and let go of the “I can’t”. Take yourself right to your edge, breathe some more, and see if you can go just a tiny bit more. Give yourself permission to bail out at any time if the body (not the mind) is saying a big “no”. Challenge postures can bring up strong emotions, and it is important to be in a safe environment so these emotions can be fully expressed and released from the body.

The Power of Visualization
When approaching a challenging / difficult / strenuous yoga posture, you can harness the power of the mind to move the body into the pose. If you can see yourself in the yoga posture, you can do it.

Close your eyes, deepen the breath and see your body doing the yoga posture in your mind’s eye. See every detail, seeing your body’s alignment and how you are breathing. See yourself in the posture strong, confident, and graceful. See yourself holding the posture with ease. See a simile on your face! Keep this image clearly in your mind as you move your body into the posture. Simply allow your body to fill up this mental picture, without excess pushing, straining or effort. When your body is fully in the posture, keep your focus on the mental picture, and begin to feel your body inside this image, filling it up with your awareness.

Create Inner Focus with Pratyahara
Pratyahara is the pivotal point in the practice of yoga where the path leads from the exterior to the interior landscape of the body. Pratyahara translates directly as “sense withdrawal” and is the fifth limb or branch of an eight-staged yogic approach to the unification of body-mind-spirit. By withdrawing our attention from the external environment and by focusing inwards on the breath and sensations, we still the mind and increase our awareness of the body. With this awareness and focus we can move deeper into the practice of yoga, learning to move through our limitations, fears and expectations.

The key to practicing pratyahara is observing the body, breath and sensations as a detached witness, as if you were watching and feeling someone else’s body. Used with compassion and discipline, pratyahara enriches the practice of yoga and leads to deeper stages of concentration and meditation.

Yoga For Weight Loss !

What is Obesity or Overweight?

It may be defined as excess weight or deposition of excess fats on body, which leads to various diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension, lowered pulmonary functions, lowers life expectancy.

Medical words, it may be defined as an abnormal growth of the adipose tissue due to enlargement of fat cell size (Hypertrophic) or an increase in fat cell number (Hyperplastic).
It can be of 2 types, first is Abdominal obesity and second is Gluteal obesity. Generally 20 % excess weight is considered as health risk.

• Eating Habits –
o Eating in between meals
o Preference to sweets, refined food, fats, preserved food
o Composition & periodicity of meals

Sun salutations are very beneficial in Obesity management, every day 24 sun salutations with a speed of 4 rounds in 1 minute gives great benefits of Yoga Asanas and exercise as well. The practice of Sun salutation is a sequence of 7 asanas practiced in order which tones almost all of the muscles and also internal organs are stretched increasing blood & oxygen supply to these parts. Regular practice of sun salutation with breathing gives good exercise to the lungs. Mantras have relaxing effect on mind.

Pranayama
Pranayama is very important technique in yoga which is control and extension of Prana or Vital energy or Life force. Pranayama helps in management of this energy. Various techniques are available in yoga, which give interesting but good results.

The Pranayama can be classified in 2 types in terms of physiology, Hypo ventilation or vitalizing Pranayama and Hyper ventilation or relaxing pranayama. Kapalbhati, Bhasrika and Fast breathing can be classified under Hyper ventilation (increases Oxygen and reduces carbon dioxide) and Deep breathing, Bhramari, Shitali, Sitkari can be classified as Hypo ventilation (oxygen level remains mostly same but the speed of respiration is lower, heart rate lower).

Kapalbhati, Bhasrika & fast breathing can be practiced by people suffering from obesity with good effects; these Pranayama techniques increase the lung capacity and help burning fats. Regular practice of Pranayama brings balance in the system in terms of Physical and Mental functions.

Cleansing Techniques -
Shankha Prakshalana or Master cleansing technique – Drinking 2 glasses of water, performing special asanas, again drinking the water, followed by asanas to evacuate the bowels is the process of cleansing of entire GI tract. The process is completed when one has completely cleansed the intestinal tract.

Agnisar – Fast movement of abdominal muscles in and out, is very good exercise to get rid of the accumulated fats in the abdominal region also it helps in streamlining Digestive system.

Diet – More raw vegetables, fruits help in balancing the intake of the food. Reducing refined & processed food, fast food, non vegetarian diet helps in weight control. A special fasting program has shown promising results. Please refer for more details.

Meditation guidelines for Happy Life !

If you are suffering from, or have had in the past, some rather unpleasant experiences of not being able to sleep, take heart. You are not alone, and you definitely have lots of wide-eyed company sharing this dilemma with you.

Roughly, about 35 million Americans, currently, have some precarious night owl tendencies. They find themselves up all hours of the night reading, watching late night movies, or listening to soothing music or sounds, in an attempt to go to sleep.

Many of you who have, or have had, sleep problems can attest to the fact, that the repercussions of losing a good night's sleep, or more, has far more serious consequences than just extreme tiredness, sluggish thinking, or impaired memory functioning the next day.

Frequent bouts with insomnia can lead to an increased sensitivity to aches and pains, bad moods, and an eventual over all feeling of negative mental and physical health.

Many of the symptoms of chronic insomnia can mimic the symptoms of other health conditions such as pain disorders like fibromyalgia, and mood disorders like depression, anxiety, and dementia. Unless your insomnia is not caused by an underlying medical condition, like sleep apnea, there is definitely more than one good road leading back to a better night's sleep.

Most, who have had repeated rounds of unproductive attempts to reduce sleepless nights, on their own, end up visiting their physicians hoping for a quick-fix pill solution. Antidepressants, tranquilizers, or other special sleep medications, oftentimes, offers no real long-term relief you can reliably trust.

Inherent drug side effects comes with the territory, here, as well as drug tolerance to the initial effective dose that may bring about a remission of your symptoms. Eventually, if one decides to remain on chemical substances, a raising of the dose, or a substitution of a different drug often becomes necessary. Frustration begins to set in as you discover that, without the medications, your sleep problems are, predominately, still with you.

According to 'The National Institute of Health', primary insomnia is a common condition, on its own, and is not caused by an underlying medical problem. To be considered true insomnia, though, the difficulty in getting to sleep or staying asleep must be present for at least one month.

And, according to the ASDA (American Sleep Disorders Association) insomnia is considered 'chronic' when you have experienced the inability to go to sleep or stay asleep three nights a week for at least 3 months.

Primary insomnia, the type more commonly experienced by most, is often triggered by specific circumstances, like a traumatic event or situation in one's life. The main theme that is most likely to cause insomnia is some type of precipitating event-like a divorce or other personal relationship problems, job or career changes, or a death of a friend or loved one. When the initial trauma of the precipitating event, eventually, goes away, sometimes the insomnia part does not.

Sometimes, too, the insomnia continues on because bad sleeping habits were adopted to cope with a stress-filled inability to go to sleep during the course of the triggering event. Over indulging in alcohol, chemical pills, over eating, and lack of regular physical exercise are considered to be bad sleep hygiene habits. It is a good idea to try to break these habits and avoid stimulants, both chemical and technological-like coffee, tea, television, and computers.

We can all become susceptible, to developing certain conditioned pattern responses, in trying to cope with long-term sleep deprivation problems. Certain individuals even develop what is known as 'sleep dread', in developing a persistent anxiety about not being able to fall asleep, or stay asleep, before bedtime.

As you already know, worrying about anything before you go to bed at night, or while you are trying to go to sleep, is not a great time to try and resolve problems with bills, jobs, or personal relationship issues. Try really hard not to worry about things you have no control over, even if you think you do have some control over some of these things, take a break for the night, for the sake of getting a better night's sleep.

If you have faith in a higher power, pass most of your worries on to God or another source of spiritual comfort. Never underestimate the power of developing a spiritual practice to help you sleep better, and to help you in many other areas of your life.

At one time, I considered myself to be a chronic insomniac. Sleep would evade me several nights a week, and this amounted to many nights over the course of a month. I had developed a distinct pattern that would wax and wane, due to a troubled personal relationship, over a 15 year season of my life.

By and large, in all those years I tried just about everything, from prescription drugs to over the counter sleep aides, that I could find to help ease me into a restful night's sleep. Out of desperation, I read about and tried quite a few natural herbal remedies as well. For a while, most of these substances would actually work for me.

During a long and drawn out process of 15 years I , eventually, discovered that all of these substances were just merely short-term band aides fixes. They were fine for the occasional relief of a rare sleepless night. If there is a precipitating event or situation in your life that is contributing to a lack of sleep, however, the issue will have to be uncovered and resolved. Whether it is a conscious issue or a subconscious one, meditating can help spot some light on the issue and bring it to your visual awareness.

Luckily, after approaching my sleep problems in only one way for many years, I happened to find a meditation audio created by the 'Immrama Institute', that used harmonically layered binaural beats gently interwoven inside the sounds of soft rainfall very sensitive, soothing, and relaxing.

Meditation can take years of dedicated practice, and can be quite difficult to learn and master in the traditional way. A well crafted sound audio, however, can make it almost effortless to achieve deep relaxation. I began using it regularly. It helped me to get completely quiet for about 20 minutes, or longer, a day. I managed, in a rather short amount of time, of about a month, to improve my over all sleep quality dramatically.

Regular meditation has, also, helped me gain more control over several other troubling issues in my life such as:
1.reduced overall daily anxiety levels
2.achieved prolonged states of deep relaxation
3. improved outlook on life, in general
4.found the motivation to pursue personal life goals
5.heightened sense of self-awareness, and intuition
6.increased creativity
I have been using this relaxation audio for two years, and simply love it!

The long term benefits of regularly using a sound based relaxation technique in combination with a basic rudimentary understanding of biology, physics, and in faithfully applying ancient, spiritual wisdom teachings to improve one's life are not to be underestimated, either, in their over all effectiveness. Becoming a more spiritually centered individual has its perks and long-term advantages in overcoming any physical health issue. I recently found a wealth of written information and a creative sound treatment program called, "Sound Health Sound Wealth" I found it not only to be truly helpful, but very effective too in calming and soothing any psychological fears one may have.

Strategies such as those mentioned above, can help you to want to embrace improvement. Desire can bring about some much needed, wanted, and longed for self-loving, changes within yourself. Consciously choosing to get more consistent nutritional elements in your daily diet, engaging in more physical exertion, and, yes, even improving one's spiritual awareness of sounds, colors, and light can take you as far as your intuition and intelligence will not be an inhibiting factor.

Upon embarking in such an incredible journey, I'll make a wish for all of you, who have trouble sleeping. I hope you are, soon, sleeping better, more soundly, and challenging your thinking mind, more often. Open yourself up to more exciting possibilities in the near future.

Swami Vivekananda Spiritual Quotes !

  • You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.
  • You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.
  • Where can we go to find God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in every living being.
  • Truth, purity, and unselfishness - whenever these are present, there is no power below or above the sun to crush the possessor thereof. Equipped with these, one individual is able to face the whole universe in opposition.
  • We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.
  • The moment I have realized God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.

  • Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.
  • Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin; to say that you are weak, or others are weak.
  • All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.
  • All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.
  • As different streams having different sources all mingle their waters in the sea, so different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to God.
  • If faith in ourselves had been more extensively taught and practiced, I am sure a very large portion of the evils and miseries that we have would have vanished.

Quotes For Spiritual Aspirants !

Devotee: "Sir, may I make an effort to earn more money?"

Sri Ramakrishna : "It is permissible to do so to maintain a religious family. You may try to increase your income, but in an honest way. The goal of life is not the earning of money, but the service of God. Money is not harmful if it is devoted to the service of God."

Devotee: "How long should a man feel obliged to do his duty toward his wife and children?"

Sri Ramakrishna : "As long as they feel pinched for food and clothing. But one need not take the responsibility of a son when he is able to support himself. When the young fledgling learns to pick its own food, its mother pecks it if it comes to her for food."

Devotee: "How long must one do one's duty?"

Sri Ramakrishna : "The blossom drops off when the fruit appears. One doesn't have to do one's duty after the attainment of God, nor does one feel like doing it then.
"If a drunkard takes too much liquor he cannot retain consciousness. If he takes only two or three glasses, he can go on with his work. As you advance nearer and nearer to God, He will reduce your activities little by little. Have no fear.

"Finish the few duties you have at hand, and then you will have peace. When the mistress of the house goes to bathe after finishing her cooking and other household duties, she won't come back, however you may shout after her."

Spiritual Motivational Quotations !

Faith means that there isn't the slightest form of doubt in any situation or at times of obstacles. Situations have to change and they will continue to change. The supports that your faith has now will be removed, and even after that your foundation has to be strong. If your foundation is not strong, then supports are necessary. Therefore you need to maintain your peaceful, lovable state and your love and faith for God has to remain unshakable.

~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Knowing the self and knowing God brings light into the darkness, and brings love back into our lives whereby we can reach out to others. The world will change when we are able to share this Godly light and this endless love. When I know myself I can really meet others. My vision will not be disturbed by our differences but I will recognize the same essence in others.

~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Why do you like sunsets so much? Because they take you beyond your physical dimension. You experience peace and silence. You sense that time stops, and you understand what eternity means. It awakens your dormant spirituality. Whenever you have the chance, sit in front of a sunset and relax. Do not analyze. Only watch and observe and let profound feelings of peace emerge.

~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Inspirational Spiritual Poems !

Dear God, put your words to pen,
help me lay the pain on paper.
The weight to be unloaded,
the agony to taper.

He who hates this life shall find it,
I have now begun to see.
The sacrifices made down here,
meant to purify and cleanse me.

How can I serve your purpose,
when I exist only in part.
The blood of life pumps weakly,
pulsing from just half a heart.

Explain this hole of loss
from something never quite attained.
Show me how to keep on living,
when there is nothing to sustain.

Hear my prayers, look down on me
my spirit needs reviving.
I've become so heavy and so low,
each day's about surviving.

Touch me with your hand of light,
embrace your child who is so small.
Nourish me with strength and mercy,
show me how to walk not crawl.

Don't forsake me in my depth of need,
trust me with your blessings.
Give me hope, I bleed for you,
true desperation I'm confessing.

Let me lean my soul on you,
dispense your love in time of need.
Your direction I am seeking,
sifting through the words I read.

My Father, I am humbled,
on my knees I beg you now.
Turn the tears into a river,
to flood my veins with life and power.

Grant me godliness and wisdom,
the way make clear unto my eyes.
I will obey and I will follow,
burn through the clouds blocking my skies.

Great Shift of Consciousness - The Passion !

A great shift is in the making: A time for very deep purification and cleansing from the inner core within ourselves and within the Earth up to the outer manifest reality. How this will all play out is our choice.

Many will understand the need for inner and outer focus on unity and love. However, many others will remain under the grip of their programmed old ways and thus experience this world with much fear while focusing on dis-unity.

This is a time where our greatest force shall emerge from its hidden inner recesses as we face our greatest challenge: a transformation and trans-evolution of mankind when our thought processes transmute from a harsh concentration on lack toward a gentler constant awareness of the beauty and unity of all within the ONE that we all are here to manifest.

This is a time prophesied for eons where, in this world created around the notion of polarity, the "real" caring and nurturing Female energy is ready to interpenetrate each of our hearts and balance out the Masculine expansive powerful energy that has overtaken alone much of Creation and destabilized it. It is in the balancing and the unity of the two that our inner smiling probable future lays. Please allow this great and sacred energy in, and wish deeply for unity, for in that act lies the path to our happiness and salvation.

All great changes bring about in many much initial resistance, the degree of which will define the course of this Creation for a long time to come.

As many impacting events are about to happen, and even more unfold in the next months and years, often in an accelerated manner, one core issue will emerge as paramount in being the only real question to be asked and the only solution to be had.

"Where does your passion lay?"

Does it lay upon a world where all thoughts and common efforts are on com-passion, forgiveness, unity, happiness, and the notion that we are all - without any exception -connected within the notion of ONE?

Is it your truest desire to unite the parts within yourself, the family without, and our greatest and most beautiful family: mankind?

Or does you passion lay upon events, stories, legends, and philosophies which evoke and trigger separation, elitism, fear, violence, control, gore, and the anti-force to the sacred notion of Unity of all and everything within the One and Only?

Do you want to unify all polarities to usher the proclaimed glorious era, or polarize even more? For this is the only question to be asked.

Please, I beg of you, watch carefully what you invite in your heart.

If you invite within and resonate only with what unites us as one family and therefore exalts life, then the peace of the ONE, wondrous Creation, and life, longer that you can ever imagine, will be yours.

However, if you invite and resonate within upon visions of death, fear, and all that differentiates, divides, and separates us, then war, suffering, insecurity, and death will be yours.

All great spiritual masters came to tell us of this choice and the two ways of seeing the same reality, and some even expressed it in their lives and experiences on purpose, in order for us to understand the consequences.

A glass is either half full or half empty depending on your focus of attention. Both are true at the same time. It is your focus which will determine which path you will experience. You can either focus on what is lacking, or what is wondrous. You can focus on the unity and common thread of all existence, see the spectacular awe-some reality of creation, and experience the miraculous, or focus on what is lacking and then experience nothingness.

Please do not fall into the trap of "passion" for death again.

Please fall in love with yourself again, and with all your human brothers and sisters. For all are precious, magnificent, and sacred expressions of the ONE life force flowing through all living things.

Happy thoughts and Creation,

Bible Love Quotes !

Love comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

~Timothy 1:5

I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have the faith needed to move mountains-but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned-but if I have no love, this does me no good.

~1 Corinthians 13:1-13

I found the one whom my soul loves.

~Song of Solomon 3:4

This is my beloved and this is my friend.

~Song of Solomon 5:16

Above all else, guard thy heart for it is the wellspring of life.

~Proverbs 4:23

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.

~Song of Solomon 8:7

I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.

~Song of Solomon 7:10

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

Journey Of Your Heart !

The heart is the hub of life, of existence itself, it is the central point of the beyondness that is forever bursting into existence in all directions at all times.

It is who "you" are – the very one that is flowing through the very eyes of this mindbody that you are falsely identifying yourself as being. It is "you" that is bursting forth into existence and you are going to learn all about this "you" of you through being "you".

You are not going to learn about "you" while you persist in being stuck within the guidance of a mind informed mindbody that has you believing that you are something other than who "you" are.

It appears that accepting ideas and words as the fact of what they represent will help you to come to understand this great matter of who "you" are – and on the gradual movement of perpetuating who you think you are this all looks very valid to you.

The message here though, is that this "you" of you is already free; it is already complete; there is no more for you to do but to "be" this "you" that is already the happening thing of you.

To enter this journey of your heart requires you to learn immediately not only what this "you" of you actually is but also to learn to find this "you" in any given moment when you awaken to the fact of you having lost sight of this "you" - where you find yourself having been distracted by the arisings of the dance of life through your mindbody.

To awaken to this "you" that is already flowing through the eyes of this mindbody that you find yourself flowing through, you must learn to find this "you" and you must learn to stop at and as this "you".

There is absolutely no getting around this. To come to the immediacy of the realization of who "you" are and to the conscious living of this one, you must begin to immediately do something about finding yourself out of the bind and imprisonment of where you currently find yourself being lost in.

"You" are not a separated someone attempting to find your way back to some harmonious heaven where you will be relieved of perpetuating your consistent and persistent "pull over" of trying to be this isolated something that was never true of you in the first place.

You are already this "you" that you have constantly been attempting to find - in the hope of being relieved of your current situation of pain and misery - and it is not tied up in the knowing of all of the "right" words.

You are now free to "be" who "you" are if you so wish but you will actually have to "be" this "you" of you though, instead of continuing on with trying to be who you think you are. You will have to learn to find it and to stop at and as it.

All this you can do because "you" are....

Inspired Inner Peace Quotes !

When there is the connection outside without looking within, there is inability to be the best and do the best in situations. Instead if there is a constant connection within, before the connection is made outside, then it becomes easy to express the inner qualities necessary to deal with the problems outside. When we allow our mind to get disturbed over small things, it will cost us our peace of mind. We are not able to retain our inner power, which is needed to experience freedom. On the other hand, if we are able to retain our inner peace, We can be connected with our innate divine nature. We are able to experience true mastery.

Yoga Meditation for Spirituality !

While most complex machines which we use today have a complete operating manual which explains how to get the best use out of that machine, our human body, which is in some ways like a machine, does not have such a definitive operating manual . As a consequence we often treat our body in ways which are harmful to the proper functioning of this structure. Although medical and scientific knowledge has become an important feature of modern life, many of the physical and mental diseases which plague humanity today can be prevented or cured simply by adopting a way of life which is in harmony with the true needs of our physical body.

Yoga is an ancient science of physical, mental and spiritual development which originated in India more than 7000 years ago. Many people have misconceptions about yoga and think that it is mainly a set of strenuous postures which only circus acrobats can perform, or associate it with mystic or esoteric ideas which are far removed from the daily life of the masses of humanity. Rather, yoga has much to offer to contemporary humans and it contains clear ideas and practices which can be implemented by many people who wish to live a healthy, happy and meaningful life. ln short, the ideas and practice of yoga are the "missing" operating manuals for the successful functioning of the human structure.

While most humans live longer today than they did in the past, during the last years of their life (and often even in middle age) they are often troubled with many different physical problems and become incapacitated to a certain degree. Yoga says that if humans observe certain rules, they can easily live an active life to the age of 80. What are these yogic secrets for a long and healthy life? in this article we will give an overview of these practices. A complete discussion of many of these points would take more time, but interested
people can do this by attending our courses or by reading our books.

According to yoga there are six "secrets" of longevity. They are as follows:

1. Proper Physical Labor
In the past people had to use their physical bodies in the course of their normal work. But today someone may get up, go to work in a car, then sit down, get up to go home in the car and when arriving at home, sit down again for the rest of the day. In such a life there is no physical labor. This physical inactivity is one of the main reasons for a host of diseases. Sport, running. walking and other things must be added to our life if our normal work does not require us to exert ourselves physically. In yoga there are some special exercises which are also prescribed and we will discuss them more fully below.

2. Going to sleep when one feels sleepy
This may sound simple, but many people stay up late even when their body is telling them that it is time to sleep. Yoga and Ayurvedic doctors also say that it is better to sleep in the night and be active during the day. However, people such as students will take coffee and stimulants to study late into the night. Others develop the habit of remaining active at night and sleeping during the day. While we can do this, it eventually takes a toll on health. Yoga says that this kind of unnatural living is one of the contributing factors in the causation of cancer.

3. Eating when one feels hungry
This is also a simple idea, but once again we often go against the messages of the body. If one eats out of habit or due to social pressure at certain time of the day, even when one has no real appetite, then there will not be proper digestion of food. Acidity and indigestion begin and this contributes to the likelihood of other more complex diseases taking root. Having an appetite is actually a sign of good health, but if there is no appetite one should wait a bit and then eat. (If one has no appetite even after awaiting a reasonable amount of time, then a doctor should be consulted because something is wrong.)

4. Regular fasting
If would ask any person to work 365 days per year without any rest, they would complain and say that they must have some rest or else they will break down. But we have never bothered to ask or to think about our digestive organs which we compel to work day after day without a rest. They cannot protest the way a person would to his boss, but they do give us signals that they cannot work non-stop. When we ignore those signals and still compel them to work, those organs break down. That is why yoga is say that on a periodic basis it is good to refrain from eating for one complete day. This gives a rest to the digestive organs and also help in the elimination of wastes from the body. Regular fasting allows a person to use the fasting days for intellectual or spiritual pursuits. Fasting is not for hermits in a cave, but is a sensible practice that anyone can practice.

5. Ablution before sleep
As mentioned above, proper sleep is essential for the maintenance of health. If one washes important motor and sensory organs (hands, arms, eyes, legs, mouth, genitals) before sleep using cool water this relaxes the body and prepares it for deep sleep.

6. Regular performance of meditation
The body is linked to the mind. Many of the diseases of this era are psychosomatic. Stress and anxiety take their toll on our physical health. Meditation is a mental exercise which, among other things, allows a person to detach him or herself from the worries of life.
Just as we take vacations and go to the mountains or the sea to "get away from it all" and to get mental peace. Meditation enables a person to do this on a daily basis without expensive travel costs. It is important to remember that meditation has a direct influence on our physical body and helps for example to lower blood pressure. Thus, meditation is one of the keys to a long and productive life.

Gospel Quotes to Realize God !

Devotee: "How ought we to live in the world?"

Sri Ramakrishna: "Do all your duties, but keep your mind on God. Live with all - with wife and children, father and mother - and serve them. Treat them as if they were very dear to you, but know in your heart of hearts that they do not belong to you.

"A maidservant in the house of a rich man performs all the household duties, but her thoughts are fixed on her own home in her native village. She brings up her Master's children as if they were her own. She even speaks of them as 'my Rāma' or 'my Hari'. But in her own mind she knows very well that they do not belong to her at all.

"The tortoise moves about in the water. But can you guess where her thoughts are? There on the bank, where her eggs are lying. Do all your duties in the world, but keep your mind on God.

"If you enter the world without first cultivating love for God, you will be entangled more and more. You will be overwhelmed with its danger, its grief, its sorrows. And the more you think of worldly things, the more you will be attached to them.

"First rub your hands with oil and then break open the jack-fruit; otherwise they will be smeared with its sticky milk. First secure the oil of divine love, and then set your hands to the duties of the world.

"But one must go into solitude to attain this divine love. To get butter from milk you must let it set into curd in a secluded spot; if it is too much disturbed, milk won't turn into curd. Next, you must put aside all other duties, sit in a quiet spot, and churn the curd. Only then do you get butter.

"Further, by meditating on God in solitude the mind acquires knowledge, dispassion, and devotion. But the very same mind goes downward if it dwells in the world. In the world there is only one thought: 'woman and gold'.2

"The world is water and the mind milk. If you pour milk into water they become one; you cannot find the pure milk any more. But turn the milk into curd and churn it into butter. Then, when that butter is placed in water, it will float. So, practise spiritual discipline in solitude and obtain the butter of knowledge and love. Even if you keep that butter in the water of the world the two will not mix. The butter will float.

Daily Inspirational Quotes !

  • To be humble is to be on the first leg of the journey to purity. The humble has yet to be on the first leg of the journey to purity. The humble has yet to be pure. He is on the way to it. One cannot be pure without being humble, because there is no greater impurity than ego.
  • Spiritual discipline is necessary in order to see God. I had to pass through very severe discipline. How many austerities I practised under the bel-tree! I would lie down under it, crying to the Divine Mother, 'O Mother, reveal Thyself to me.' The tears would flow in torrents and soak my body.
  • The great Goal can never be reached unless a man makes his mind strong and firmly resolves that he must realize God in this very birth, nay, in this very moment.
  • The formless Absolute is my Father, and God with form is my Mother. God reveals Himself in the form which His devotee loves most. His love for the devotee knows no bounds.
  • Disease is the tax which the soul pays for the body, as the tenant pays house-rent for the use of the house.
  • If you desire to be pure, have firm faith, and slowly go on with your devotional practices without wasting your energy in useless scriptural discussions and arguments. Your little brain will otherwise be muddled.

Inspired Disciple of Sri Ramakrishna !

I am very much inspired about the Ramakrishnananda (Direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna)

His Life teachings

****************************************************
What kind of devotion takes us to God? The child's devotion to the mother. Why does the baby go to the mother? Because it has reasoned out that the mother is the best friend it has. And why do you go to God? Because you have previously reasoned out that God will help you and no one else can. So, as the baby goes to the mother, you will go to God.

So long as we have no ideal to follow, we will have to heed the calls of our lower nature. A characterless man is slave to all worldly enjoyments.

You have been worshiping this god of your body for so many lives; it is not easy to begin worship the true God all at once. It you would raise you Self, you must crucify the body and conquer the senses.

Ramakrishnananda's Life

It is said that Swami Vivekananda at the time of sannyasa wanted to take the name of `Ramakrishnananda' for himself, but gave it up in favor of Shashibhushan, who, he thought, deserved it best. And, Shashi deserved it eminently by dint of his devoted service to Sri Ramakrishna especially during his last days. The way he served Sri Ramakrishna when he was alive and the way he carried on his worship through relics after his Mahasamadhi were, to say the least, exemplary.

Born on the 13th July 1863 -- the same year as Vivekananda -- in an orthodox Brahmin family of the Hoogly district of Bengal. Shashi got a good education and an excellent training during the early years which laid the foundation for a lofty character. His very first visit -- along with his cousin Sharat ( Swami Saradananda) -- to Sri Ramakrishna forged strong links with him, whom he accepted as the pole-star of his life.

During the last illness of the Maser, Shashi toiled say and night to serve him and to lookto his comforts. After his demise, when the relics were gathered and established in the shrine of the maiden monastery at Baranagore, it was Shashi who took upon himself the responsibility of worshiping it as also take care his monastic brothers who had been fired by an intense spirit of renunciation. No mother would have served her children with greater feeling and care than Shashi cared for them.

At the behest of Swami Vivekananda, Shashi -- now Swami Ramakrishnananda -- came down to Madras to start a monastery there. By his austere life, devoted service and immense scholarship he was able to put the monastery on a solid foundation though he had often to pass through fiery ordeals. It was he who kindled the interest of the people in the then princely State of Mysore, in the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and eventually start a Math at Bangalore also.

The Swami was a combination of intellectual scholarship of the highest level and devotion of the deepest type. In spite of all his stern external discipline, he possessed a soft and motherly heart.

Meditation Make Life easier !

Group meditation will help you with more power to overcome obstacles very quickly. So most of the problems you have are self-created. After initiation, if you follow the precepts, if you follow the pure vegetarian diet, and if you go to group meditation, you should have no problems whatsoever.

.....

After a really good meditation session, you stand up like a saint, and no one dares touch you. If you really have a good meditation and sincerely practice, people sense that, and feel that, and they have nothing for you but reverence and love. And you have nothing at all written on your face except love and purity. And that I can see very, very clearly, like reading a book. Do you take notice? Those who meditate a great deal, and sincerely practice, you see their change? Yeah? That's why when you come here, you should, you ought to meditate all the time, whenever you can. Not only sitting there meditating, but in your mind, you must concentrate. Don't try to find friends and,... idle gossiping everywhere. Even if I don't see you then, when I see you, I see. All the people see. It's written on your face very, very clearly. I tell you from all honesty of my heart. There's nothing you can hide, nothing at all. It's written on your face, in your eyes, on your forehead. It's a sense around your body, doesn't matter what kind of perfume you spray, no difference, really. So, very precious is the meditation.

.....
Group Meditations Make You Grow

That's why I tell you go to group meditation, because here you have the truest friends. Then if you have problems, or maybe sometimes you make mistakes, because of many friends, they can talk to you, and they love you, encourage you. You will come back again to the correct direction. Having group meditation is just like having an unconditional good friend or a good beloved; and we all grow together, we share together some problems and happiness. This is very good for the human psyche, even not talking about spiritual practice.

So you see why we have to practice now, or why we must go to group meditation; because we are weak. Sometimes we go alone and if someone tempts us, we will fall. But if we go as two, three or four persons together, and if we want to be tempted, our friends say, "No, no! It's no good for you. Come back!" That's why we must have friends to practice together.

In this life everything is like that, even with politics. If a man wants to be president, he must collect a lot of followers who have the same ideal as he has, and who support him. Everyone knows that. Otherwise, do you think one person alone could create a particular movement? Or could one person alone change the whole of a country? There must be a lot of people to support! So, when we blame one person, we have to think more! It is a shared ideal, it is a responsibility of a lot of people, not only one or two men.

So it's the same SAME with every ideal, the same with every goal we reach for, we must have supporting friends in order to go the same way. So when we fall, when we are weak, our friends will help us, or carry us. So, we must have friends. That's why we must have group fellow practitioners to encourage each other, because this is like a big family. When you come in and you meditate together you also share the spiritual energy together, not only the mundane problems; and then everyone just connected together. The stronger ones help the weaker ones, and then we have less weaknesses. Then we can come together at the same level. Everyone is happy. You are cleansed, and you become happier and happier; and you feel lighter and lighter everyday.
